Please help us test MobilityNigeria Forums
Dear friends, we have just revamped the MobilityNigeria Forums and are setting it up to be mobile-friendly. As you know, there are a wide range of mobile devices out there, and we need to be sure that the forums mobile access work on as many as possible.

As such, we need you to help us text this feature. Here is what you do for us:
- load www.mobilitynigeria.com/forums/ on your mobile browser to see if a mobile version is presented to you
- if the desktop version is what loads on your phone browser, please load this browser detection page on your phone’s built-in browser to check the browser user-agent, then post the info in the comments section below, so we can fine-tune things for your phone browser
- tell us anything else you observe
We will make adjustments till we have as many devices/browsers covered.
We appreciate the time that you put into this, as well as other resources that this test may cost you. If you are reading this on your mobile device, you are just ready to go, simply click to go to the forums.

In the layout prior to this new platform, I was able to register successfully, using a Nokia 5800.
Last time I tried to log in with my user details, I realised those details were probaly not ported to this new platform.
Anyway, on trying to re-register, still using my phone, I was not successful this time around.
Will register when next I am close to a PC.. The mobile friendliness of this new platform would probably be enhanced if it were possible to register by using a mobile device..
Update: I have now been able to register successfully using a mobile device. My former username was rejected when trying to re-register. Used another username instead..
EyeBeeKay,
Thanks for the feedback. So, we take it that the mobile version works on your 5800; right?
You should be able to login at the Forums with your old details. As a matter of fact, if you have cookies enabled in your browser, if you were logged in at the main site and click through to the forums, you should be automatically logged in there too.
Thanks again for the time and effort.
My phone is Sony Ericsson K750i and my browser is bolt (version 1.62). When entered the forum, what my browser loaded was the desktop version though i don’t think this is a problem since i was viewing the desktop version of MobilityNigeria when i logged in.
I couldn’t try opera mini because Zain has denied me access to their networks with opera mini. I will still try accessing the forum with UCWeb.
harryechemco,
Thanks!
Can you load this browser detection page on your K750′s built-in browser to check the browser user-agent, then post the info here, so we can fine-tune things for your phone browser?
We appreciate your help.
The site loaded perfectly on my nokia e63 but i discovered that each time i close the mobilitynigeria tab on my operamini5 beta 2 browser, i have to sign in to forum again next time i open the site. Previously i am always automatically loged on. I’ve not tried it on my native browser, i hardly use the browser.
kay123,
Thanks for the feedback.
On the login status issue, is anyone else using a non-beta version of Opera Mini facing this?
Works fine on Samsung’s C3212 default browser. You might to consider adding the following mobile user agents which I got off the W3 Total Cache plug-in configuration page.

Nice work, Chukwudi. Our list is missing about 2 or 3 from yours. We’ll fill in the missing agents.
Thanks again.
EyeBeeKay,
Have you attempted to login to the Forums with your old profile again? Others are not having this issue. As it is, right now, you have two profiles, which isn’t quite good.
Do try the old profile again, and if it works, we will merge your new profile with the old. Your forum posts under the new profile will then reflect your old profile and all’s good.
Let us know.
Alireta, I attempted to login with my old profile (username > EyeBeeKay) and it is now successfully. The other profile is in the name > ibk). Will prefer to maintain ‘EyeBeeKay’..
Thank you!
EyeBeeKay,
Excellent!
